★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is beautiful and if you sit outside even better. The food wasn't as good as the last time I was there. It's a bit pricey for what you get.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive but a good place to enjoy a meal. The service is the best they can offer, great crew! In second place is the local brew, taste chopp.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful indoor and outdoor brewery-bistro at the horse racing track.
Casa Camolese is a refined, beautifully decorated restaurant with excellent drinks and beer, and good nibbles.
We visited it on a Monday evening for dinner, so the place wasn't crowded, it was perfect for us. We initially sat inside (more of a fine dining experience - cloth napkins, gorgeous plates made of soap stone, excellent service) then we were transferred outside, since they knew we wanted to watch the horse race (casual, relaxed but the server was definitely not as attentive, and the four of us noticed it.)
The brewery offers four beers - all named after beloved female relatives, including the dog. Greta and Flora (APA and IPA, respectfully) were a hit. I ordered Casa Camolese's rendition of a Moscow Mule and fell in love with it, especially the ginger infused foam on top -- fabulous! The appetizers were really tasty (bruschetta, burrata and steak tartare.) The entrees weren't as exciting as the first nibbles, though (Lamb Risotto and Carbonara pasta.)
Casa Camolese started very strong - excellent drinks, beautiful indoor space with original touches, great location, fine appetizers, great service but it ended on a slightly less interesting note (hence the four stars.) Yet, I would come back in a heartbeat next time I visit Rio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really liked this place, it has a cool vibe, good cocktails and really tasty food. The service was prompt, although a bit cold. The eggplant appetizer and tuna tartar were delicious. The seafood cornucopia was nice but we weren’t expecting it to be fried (though not heavily). They brew their own beer, however only 2 of the 5 beers were available and they were ok. The decor is brilliant and the balcony overlooking the racetrack is incredible. What a spot! You pay for the ambiance, but the prices were really fair. We would recommend it and return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible! Awesome food and service. I tryed the Passion fruit, vanilla and ginger soda. It was the best soda ever! We also shared the main entrance dish. Very good. I loved the Casa Camolese and hope to go back someday. Also, try to visit in a jockey evening day, to see the horses.
