★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small traditional Japanese restaurant - a rare thing to find in São Paulo as most Japanese restaurants are sushi places. They have only one daily option during lunch, and a full menu during dinner time. Food is delicious, but better to arrive early as they have little seating places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious. Very traditional and quality-focused. I have been twice and everything I tried, from Missô soup to ginger slices, was impeccable. Its owned and run by a Japanese couple who doesn't care much about being empathetic. I don't mind at all - keep doing what you do and bringing me more of your food?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place, with authentic Japanese food, really really attentive staff, and prices are compatible with the plate size.
I highly recommend the Takoyaki, paired with a good quality sake. The grilled fish is also great, and good if you want a lighter food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The yakisoba was so good and tasty! The fried chicken was spicy, juicy, and flavorful, great kimchi also. Arrived at 7pm and had no wait but when we left about 8pm there was a line of about 10 people waiting to be seated. No desserts :( next time I will ask for the spicy food to come last. The udon soup was nice but after the kimchi, fried chicken and yakisoba, we couldn’t taste the delicate dashi broth. Service is really fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for the katsu sando, stayed for the rest of the food. This hole in the wall place came highly recommended, especially for the katsu sando. Matsu is located in a nice neighborhood that felt safe to walk around. The place is a typical Izakaya, so small and expect to wait for a table. The pork shougayaki was delicious and the katsu sando was absolutely first class. Food was very reasonably priced

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their bento boxes are filled with authentic Japanese flavors!! I’m very surprised by their tasty dishes in our bento boxes, literally every single dishes were really good, even the dressing for the salad!
We tried Syogayaki bento, Tonkatsu carê bento , Nasubuta Itame bento, Katsusando bento this time, they were fantastic!
I felt like I was back in Japan while I was eating!(I’m serious!!)
Unfortunately the restaurant only accepts delivery due to the pandemic. People are looking forward to the day they reopen!!
