★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um ótimo ambiente para fazer trilha, especialmente para iniciantes. O fato de haver uma cachoeira no meio do caminho torna a trilha muito menos cansativa, e a seca do açude revela construções que normalmente ficariam escondidas.
Indico levar bastante água e repelentes. Uma visita ao centro de pesquisas na entrada do parque também é uma boa, pois os funcionários estão sempre dispostos a ajudar e informar.
 A great environment for hiking, especially for beginners. The fact that there is a waterfall in the middle of the path makes the trail much less tiring, and the drought of the weir reveals buildings that would normally be hidden.
I recommend taking plenty of water and repellents. A visit to the research center at the entrance to the park is also a good one, as the staff are always willing to help and inform.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gostei muito não.... até rende umas boas fotos mas não achei tão interessante assim.
Valeu mais pela trilha moderna.....
Se possível ir de calçados apropriado ou tênis..... levar água , repelente e usar roupas que protejam braços e pernas.
No dia em que estive nesse lugar o posto do parque estava sem água e banheiro feminino interditado portanto não contém com água e banheiro.
Outra coisa.... não pense que poderá dar mergulhos , a água não e tão chamativa e é proibido se banhar no açude. Fui informado que existe risco de morte.
Recomendo pegar instruções na portaria do parque.

I didn't like it very much .... it even yields good pictures but I didn't find it that interesting.

If possible, go with appropriate shoes or sneakers ..... bring water, insect repellent and wear clothes that protect arms and legs.
On the day I was in that place, the park post was without water and the women's bathroom was banned so it does not contain water and bathroom.
Another thing .... do not think you can go diving, the water is not so flashy and it is forbidden to bathe in the weir. I have been informed that there is a risk of death.
I recommend taking instructions from the park concierge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fiz uma boa trilha, mas me mantive longe do açude devido à presença de cobras. Em dias de muita chuva, como demonstrado nas fotos, o açude fica cheio como nunca! Mas nao é aconselhável nadar nele.
I did a good trail, but I stayed away from the weir due to the presence of snakes. On very rainy days, as shown in the photos, the weir is as full as ever! But it is not advisable to swim in it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tranquilidade e a paz que é possível encontrar nesse lugar há menos de uma hora de distância no meio de uma cidade extremamente caótica como Rio de Janeiro é absurda. É um lugar maravilhoso para você sentar, apreciar a vista, ler um livro fazer algo que goste... Quando fui não entrei, tinha só eu, as duas pessoas que foram comigo e mais um casal. Para minha sorte estava praticamente vazio. Não entrei no Açude porque tenho receio, recomendam que você somente se molhe e saia por conta de correnteza, porém o rapaz do casal que estava ao lado nadou no açude tranquilamente e voltou depois. Então deduzi que se você nadar bem, tiver disposição e coragem não há problema algum... Não é uma trilha difícil mas eu mentiria se dissesse que no dia seguinte não fiquei com a minha coxa doendo, mas valeu a pena. Mesmo que você não va entrar no Açude como eu, vá do mesmo jeito, a paisagem vale a pena e compensa de verdade.
The tranquility and peace that you can find in this place less than an hour away in the middle of an extremely chaotic city like Rio de Janeiro is absurd. It's a wonderful place for you to sit, enjoy the view, read a book, do something you like... When I went I didn't go in, there was just me, the two people who went with me and a couple. Lucky for me it was practically empty. I didn't go into the dam because I'm afraid, they recommend that you only get wet and go out because of the current, but the couple's boy who was next door swam in the dam calmly and came back later. So I deduced that if you swim well, have the energy and courage, there is no problem at all... It's not a difficult trail but I would be lying if I said that the next day I didn't have a sore thigh, but it was worth it. Even if you're not going to enter the Açude like I am, go anyway, the landscape is worth it and it really pays off.
