Faz-se necessário deixar o veículo no estacionamento e subir a pé; possui segurança no local, e dois locais que oferecem almoço e lanches e/ou água, na subida do açude do Cedro. O local possui ótimo espaço para receber turistas. É possível tirar belas fotos do monólito e do açude. Este foi uma construção edificada por Dom Pedro II. Realmente vale conferir. O local está sempre limpo. Antes da chegada, está sediada a Universidade Federal. O acesso ao local é fácil e rápido, não há perigo. Vale conferir. A cidade de Quixadá é conhecida por estes monolitos, ou seja, formações rochosas composta por uma única Rocha. Ademais, o local é conhecido por avistamento de OVNI's; há relatos de moradores antigos que sofreram abduções. A cidade e muito linda e tem aquele clima de sertão; possui hoteis e pousadas na região, bem como restaurantes e lanchonetes. No mais, acontece voo livre na regiao. Em fim, vale muito conhecer.

Açude de Cedro tem fácil acesso e estacionamento no local, tem restaurantes com vista incrível do açude. Se estive de passagem pela região compensa passa nesse ponto turístico.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visita obrigatória pra quem vem ao Sertão central. Caminhar sobre a barragem e ver o açude é um espetáculo. Depois comer um peixe em um dos dois restaurantes, um em cada extremidade da barragem. Ótimo serviço. Menu simples, porém saboroso.
