 A historical city, a bit of a quiet place. It has an incredible architectural complex, many beaches. The period of the year when it gets busiest is during the Feast of the Divine Holy Spirit, usually in the month of May. The crossing from São Luís to Alcântara costs 30 reais round trip.

Quiet city, the crossing there is fast but the boat rocks a lot. It pays to pay a guide taxi, has a wonderful beach, is recommended to spend a night in the city.

Pedro II, visita a qual nunca se concretizou.

An incredible city, the hospitality, the receptivity of its people, makes Alcântara an even better place. The city has many ruins, nostalgic architecture, streets that go back centuries. Wonderful views of the sea from its beaches. Its inns are rustic in style and very cozy.
Being in Alcântara makes having an encounter with the past and going into the future, with the space launch center, the city is very beautiful, worth visiting.
