★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Almanara is an amazing chain of middle eastern restaurants that has been a round since the 1950s. They serve up truly delicious fare that is fresh, and consistent across all locations. There are a lot of options for vegetarians to choose from.
My favorite dishes are the rice with lentils, which comes with crunchy pieces of fried onion and zucchini, tabbouleh salad, which is heavy on the parsley in the best possible way, and coalhada seca (labneh), which is creamy and with a tiny bit of tang. Their pita bread is served hot from the oven, and the pita toasts are perfectly crunchy. The falafel is also a solid choice, served with a tartar sauce that compliments the flavor. Finally, the kalage beirut is a delicious cheese and tomato grilled cheese on a pita.
For meat eaters, their kibe is great - fried, baked and raw. They also have various skewers and other options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's okay to eat here, but the plates you order come at different times, so some people are done eating when your plate has yet to arriver. Small portions, quite pricy, all in all a bit of a sense I should have gone for something different. My wife chose the esfihas, but they were very small. Quality of the food is okay though.
