Apertado, com poucas mesas (na rua, apenas), Bar do Federal tem um serviço compatível com o espaço – da vez que fui tive um bom atendimento. Cerveja de 600 ml bem gelada, mas com preços acima do "padrão" estabelecido na rua: cerveja Antártica por R$ 9,50, sendo que na rua Mena Barreto, paralela à Voluntários da Pátria, o preço é menor e com a mesma muvuca e atmosfera carioca.
If you don't mind the Friday night muvuca in Botafogo, this place is for you. Tight, with few tables (on the street, only), Bar do Federal has a service compatible with the space - the time I went I had a good service. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Muito agradável, ótimo lugar pra passar tempo e beber com os amigos. As cervejas tem o preço normal da região. O pastel é uma ótima opção de aperitivo, muito bom! Também recomendo a porção de batata frita.
Very pleasant, great place to spend time and drink with friends. The beers have the normal price of the region. The pastry is a great appetizer option, very good! I also recommend the portion of fries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cerveja sempre gelada. Infelizmente meu horário de trabalho sempre me permite chegar tarde da noite, dessa forma pego sempre a casa fechando. Já passei algumas situações chatas de pedir cerveja e não poder continuar bebendo por causa do fechamento. Até aí ok, pois chegou a hora de fechar, vamos embora. De repente, sai uma cervejinha pra mesa do conhecido do garçom...
Pelo menos eles reconheceram o erro e serviram mais uma, hehehehehe

Meu pedido foi de carne seca com queijo, só não deixaram claro que seria catupiry. Acredito que o cardápio poderia ter descrições melhores.. Tinha uma TV c rádio, mas não dava para ouvir o som... Na mesa poderia ter itens como, sal, ketchup, açúcar etc. Voltaria, mas é um local que tem o potencial de melhoria e receber mais estrelas!

My request was for dried meat with cheese, they just didn't make it clear that it would be catupiry. I believe that the menu could have better descriptions .. It had a TV and radio, but you couldn't hear the sound ... On the table you could have items like, salt, ketchup, sugar etc. I would go back, but it is a place that has the potential to improve and receive more stars!
