★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Baratos & Afins is a mecca. If you are looking for vinyl in Sampa visiting this place is a must. First you have to find it. The store is tucked in an upper floor of Galeria do Roque. Don't get put off by all the kids here.
Of course if you're visiting from out of the country, you most likely won't be interested in the USA and British titles. Head straight for the Brazilian bins. The staff is very helpful and friendly, but come prepared to speak Portuguese. And strike up a conversation about what Brazilian music you love!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is a real gem. As a rock and metal fan it is a place you must visit! They really have a great selection, with a lot of first (Brazilian) pressings in great condition. The prices are fair and often a little below market value too. You can inspect each disc before you buy.
Take your time when you visit. They have multiple collections and there is a LOT to go through. And it's well worth your time. The staff is friendly. They don't speak English though but that's not really an issue.
