Infelizmente sofre desde sua emancipação com o descaso político, quando alguém assumi-la administrativamente empenhado em seu crescimento e no bem de sua população será a melhor cidade da chapada.
Barra do Mendes is a place with high tourist potential. Surrounded by mountain ranges with beautiful intermittent waterfalls, many caves and wonderful trails. Unfortunately since its emancipation it suffers from political neglect, when someone assuming it administratively committed to its growth and the good of its population will be the best city in the plateau.
