★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brand new ! Just opened after a a long overhaul. The zoo is very well organized and offers a great opportunity to see animals and learn about their habitat and how endangered are the species.
It is located in a very pleasant park

Go here so they can keep the animals happy and improve on the park. The park is right in New renovations and there are more animals coming.
Fun activity for +/- 2 hours. This will be a lot more when the other animals will come. 20 October 2021 there will come more animals.
40 reais for a adult I payed.
Long review;
I was here also +/- 4 years ago and the zoo was very diffirent. Had some stressed animals and the cages where not so big. They have improved a lot from this now. All the animals have new cages. I think they can still be better. But they did allready a lot to improve the enclosures. No stressed animals. And they all where or sleeping or playing. Not walking from left to right in there cages.
They have some beautiful animals. Like a orangutan and other monkeys. Some big cat species and tropical birds. In the tropical bird enclosure you can go inside and come very close to them. And make beautiful pictures.
The zoo in the past was lot bigger and they are still renovating the part that is now closed.
There are some food stands for not to high prices.
A tip for going here. Go early to the zoo and take a picknick blanket and some food. The zoo is in a very big park with a lot of grass where you can picknick very good. Its a beautiful location. Have fun!

Other reviews portray it well. I just want to give newcomers a heads up: as you get near the zoo, you'll find many people trying to get you to park your vehicle right there and they'll tell you the official parking is full. It's as scam. Keep going until you find the official one. Much safer and a lot closer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took the kids here while we were in Brazil and it was beautiful. Very well put together zoo with lots of animals and really beautiful sculptures. Just be careful Going in as outside the gates are people trying to trick you into a different parking area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place for kids and family! We avail the ticket combo for AquaRio and BioPark. Its fun to go outside after being locked up because of pandemic.
The place is very clean, and with lots of animals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect for a walk and for kids but for a zoo you will only see an Asian lonely elephant in the African exhibition, 3 serpents, 3 ostrich, a hippo nose, monkeys, parrots, and 500 turtles and a skinny lion. Most exhibitions are close and because of the heat most felines are sleeping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very nice family experience. The staff were very friendly and interactive with the visitors. In addition, the facility was very clean and well kept. While this is not a very large facility in comparison to some of the zoos I’ve visited in the US or the UK, the colorful diversity of the animals and birds did not fail to excite the eye. The parrot aviary gave you the opportunity to see the many large, brightly colored parrots up close and personal. Sadly, there were several animal enclosures that only had one of the species. The lion, the tiger, the elephant, and the panther. Even so, it was an enjoyable experience. It should also be noted that while you are there, you should check out the other parks in the area. They were large and full of costumes characters from cartoon and Disney. My family enjoyed ourselves at this facility and you will too!
