â â â â â First: do your self a favour and order "Batatas Belmonte" - crispy fries with bits of sausage covered wuth cheese,-mouthwatering (see picture).
Crazy busy and fun boteca. We waited for about 10mins for a table for two. Servers walk around with trays with small dishes wich means you can get the great food instantly. You can also order from the extensive menu. We did a little bit of booth. Also a decent selection of beers. All in all a very nice visit, felt authentic with mostly locals.

â â â â â We went there on Saturday for Feijoada. The portion for two was huge and it was very delicious. The service was great and caring. The waiter served and placed meat, greens and rice nicely on our plate. They came from time to time to check if we were satisfied. They even gave us extra meat cuts after checking our pot didnât have enough certain cuts. Highly recommend if someone is looking for a full Feijoada experience.

â â â â â We were only 4. They mix the order and gave a vegetarian person a empanada with shrimps. We had to ask to bring our food again. The empanadas were really oily and some of them were cold. It's nothing in relation of how it was in the past.

â â â â â Delicious boteco food! I went to the two Belmont botecos, Copacabana and Ipanema, both made me feel super comfortable, the assistance of the staff was very good. I had few mandarin caipirinhas which was amazing. Highly recommended for couples, groups of friends or even alone.

â â â â â AVOID IT !! Belmonte used to be a good, respectful family restaurant but their reputation and customer service have been plummeting downhill. A real pity. I am referring not only to the greasy pastries, fatty appetizers, and impossibly noisy atmosphere, but also to the non-stop harassment of customers by aggressive individuals who demand money or try to sell everything, one after the other, in their restaurant in Copacabana. It is literally impossible to have a quiet lunch while sitting in the veranda, for example. The management does nothing. It is better to avoid Belmonte âŠunless you enjoy being harassed while having lunch.

â â â â â We went there for drinks and for food and although the drinks were ok, the food was very good. They have a separate menu card with a selection of a few dishes (incl. vegetarian options) which is cheaper than the normal menu. The tuna steak with the side dishes was a good choice and large portion. They also walk around with bar food snacks that you can get on the fly. Really cool bar/restaurant.
