★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Com sorte e ajuda da chuva é possível ver o Cachoeirão de cima desse jeito. Mesmo se não tiver água a caminhada por si só já é incrível. Para aqueles mais interessados, podemos avistar na trilha diversas espécies de orquídeas, velozias e bromélias, além dos musgos e fungos que se formam no local devido as condições fisio-climáticas.
With luck and help from the rain, it is possible to see the waterfall from above like this. Even if there is no water, the walk alone is incredible. For those more interested, we can see on the trail several species of orchids, velozias and bromeliads, in addition to the mosses and fungi that form in the place due to the physio-climatic conditions.

A caminhada nem é notada quando chegamos e olhamos o Vale do Cachoeirão com todas suas quedas d'água, montanhas e matas.
Aves de grande porte. Plantas que só encontramos aqui.
Amo esse lugar e retornar aqui é algo sempre diferente.
Quem tem coragem de andar no Pati no período das águas não vai se arrepender.
Um dos paraísos que existem na terra.
Hard to even put into words what this place is for me.
The walk is not even noticed when we arrive and look at the Cachoeirão Valley with all its waterfalls, mountains and forests.
Large birds. Plants that we only find here.
I love this place and coming back here is always different.
Anyone who has the courage to ride the Pati during the rainy season will not regret it.
One of the paradises that exist on earth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um lugar impressionante. Saímos da Pousada de Jailso e Maria em direção ao Cachoeirão por cima. Fomos pela trilha do arrodeio (também chamada de trilha das mulas), pois, na noite anterior, choveu muito e não conseguimos subir pela fenda. Andamos cerca de 13 km até o primeiro mirante. A chegada ao local é impactante, pois a vista é um espetáculo da natureza. Em razão das chuvas, a trilha estava com muita lama, porém vimos o Cachoeirão com várias quedas d'água. Valeu cada passo!
An impressive place. We left the Pousada de Jailso e Maria towards Cachoeirão above. We went along the arrodeio trail (also called the mule trail), because the night before it rained a lot and we were unable to climb the crevasse. We walked about 13 km to the first lookout. The arrival at the place is impressive, as the view is a spectacle of nature. Due to the rains, the trail was very muddy, but we saw the Cachoeirão with several waterfalls. Worth every step!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What's not to like about this place? We went during a dry spell and there was NO water coming out of the falls but certainly worth the views/experience of the hike!
I want to say that this can be a dangerous place because it can get windy and there is nothing underneath the rock where people take pictures so one slip/fall and you are gone forever. I say that to say just please be careful there. Your life isn't worth an Instagram picture! Aside from that there are plenty of photo opportunities around the area and the vastness of the land speaks a thousand words!
It took us 2 additional hours from the mirante do vale do Pati to get here and we got lost twice since nothing is marked. Definitely use Google maps satellite view and keep an eye on the trails you are on to ensure you don't get lost!
Bring lots of water, snacks and sunscreen and try to do the trail in hiking boots rather than tennis shoes.
