★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ambiente democrático. A melhor forma de exercer a democracia é fiscalizando e participando inclusive como candidato. Se vc critica a política pela corrupção, entre nela, seja candidato pra mudar o que vc não concorda. Simplesmente demonizar a política não vai resolver nada, afastando ainda mais os bons e bem intencionados. Vereador existe pra legislar e fiscalizar. Nada de fazer trocas de ambulâncias por votos, fazer pressão em órgãos públicos pra facilitar a vida de seus eleitores. Isso é a má política. Escolho muito bem o meu vereador e cobro dele que seja ativo e participe de todos os deveres, colabore com e faça leis justas, mas nunca peço dele nada em benefício pessoal.
Democratic environment. The best way to exercise democracy is to monitor and participate even as a candidate. If you criticize politics for corruption, enter it, be a candidate to change what you don't agree with. Simply demonizing politics won't solve anything, pushing the good and well-intentioned even further away. Councilor exists to legislate and supervise. No exchange of ambulances for votes, no pressure on public bodies to make life easier for voters. That's bad policy. I choose my councilman very well and demand that he be active and participate in all duties, collaborate with and make fair laws, but I never ask him for anything for personal benefit.
