â â â â â Local muito aprazĂvel. Bom para prĂĄtica de corrida e caminhada. NĂŁo recomendo a prĂĄtica Ă noite, jĂĄ que a iluminação Ă© deficiente e hĂĄ muitas capivaras no local, que eventualmente podem ser agressivas. Falta marcação na pista de metragem. (Existe uma bem apagada).
 Very pleasant place. Good for running and walking. I do not recommend practicing at night, as the lighting is poor and there are many capybaras in the place, which can eventually be aggressive. There is no mark on the film track. (There is a very dark one).

â â â â â O canal de Marapendi bem que poderia ser uma Ăłtima opção de passeio para moradores e visitantes da Barra da Tijuca, mas vive imundo e sem cuidados, provavelmente devido ao despejo de esgoto sanitĂĄrio dos condomĂnios prĂłximos situados na rua Dulcidio Cardoso. CondomĂnios esses que pagam mensalidade pra ter as carteirinhas para a travessia de balsa e assim economizar caminhada ao sol pela ponte LĂșcio Costa. Um dinheiro que poderia ser revertido na construção de uma ponte (ou mais) sobre o prĂłprio canal nas paradas onde pegam as balsas.
The Marapendi canal could well be a great option for a tour for residents and visitors of Barra da Tijuca, but it is filthy and unattended, probably due to the eviction of sanitary sewage from the nearby condominiums located on Dulcidio Cardoso Street. Condominiums that pay a monthly fee to have the cards for the ferry crossing and thus save walking in the sun on the LĂșcio Costa bridge. Money that could be used to build a bridge (or more) over the canal itself at the stops where the ferries take.

I run every morning there. There is a 7 km bike lane.
