Unexpected experience! I didn't think I would go to Pottery tonight. The atmosphere is homey, very simple, with historical decorative items. That's the proposal. The food is pretty good. Gorgonzola gnocchi sauce was very good! Tiramisu was a beautiful ending. In addition, the review with Seu Pasquale and his friend Léo was really cool! Anyway, I could never expect that I would be talking to two Italians, while eating good food, in Pottery! Joy for the opportunities that life brings us!

Wonderful food, best gnocchi I've ever tasted, wonderful sauce and very well served, owner and staff very friendly and attentive. I recommend 1000 times.

Wow, what wonderful food! Very tasty seasonings and with exceptional quality I've had sardine pizza which is delicious and pepperoni the pasta very light the tomato sauce even though it's delicious! I also had the bolognese gnochi, the best I've ever tasted light pasta, all very tasty! For dessert the tiramisu worth repeating several times next time I'll buy the large one and bring it home. They are to be congratulated from the reception to the food very well served and at a fair price.

I really DIDN'T LIKE the place! horrible food! I ordered a chicken pizza with catupiry and the chicken was horrible, lint-free, undercooked, tasteless, very dry, the HORROROSA dough (it's not that classic white dough, it's a darker dough, hard and tasteless)! There was no tomato sauce or any cheese (with the exception of catupiry)! HORRIBLE! THE WORST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I didn't like the place either: an old house (the guy turned his house into a commercial food establishment), cramped, bigger area, with the owner's dog roaming around (which probably doesn't even seem to take a bath - for cause of tangled hair on the back). Cutlery not cleaned properly (the fork had food leftovers....!) I DO NOT RECOMMEND! ================ Update: as there is no way to respond to an answer here, and today looking at that mr. Pasquale replied, let me say a few things... 1st: I really didn't like the place and the food. I'm not into "pasta", and that's why I chose a pizza, for being +simple, with a known taste, and "no mystery", surprises. So I thought. I was, of course, advised by a friend, who said that the place is a gem. With me, personally, there is no such thing as "tradition", to paraphrase that French Masterchef cook - there are only two types of food: good food and bad food. It really was the worst pizza I've ever had. As for the dirty fork, I didn't use the house fork (that's why I decided not to complain), but I always bring a fork and knife from the house, if I get over something. That's what I used. The pizza I only ate less than two pieces, the rest I gave to my friend to take to her house (which she didn't want to do, because she didn't "like it much" either, but she took it, even because it's a sin to waste food). About your ratings, it's really impressive, but I'm not manipulable at that point. If I like the food, I like it (and my taste is vulgar, to please me if you need little). If I don't like it, 1 billion people can like it and only I dislike it, I will still dislike it. Regarding the dog in the place, it is because it is unhealthy to have animals close to eating places (do you see any dogs inside restaurants, bars? there would be a problem with Public Health...). And another thing: who paid for everything was my friend. I have not seen. If he tipped, that's his problem. I wouldn't, in fact I would be dismayed to have to pay, but I would, of course. What I would gladly pay for was the sweet, very good, grade 9. By the way, when I asked for the sweet it was to "dislike" the food and at the same time I thought "it's not possible, I hated salty food, the sweet suddenly saves me, It's different, my taste buds". And it really saved the day. Titles don't impress me, my best judge is my language, not that of others. About your being dismayed, if you hadn't disliked me so much, I wouldn't have come here to give my opinion, SINCERE. Another thing: you are old enough, learn to be more HUMBLE (humility) and accept criticism (when negative). There is no unanimity in this world. From the moment that Mr. "ask to evaluate" your dishes on the internet should be prepared for criticism and low grades. If you DON'T ACCEPT CRITICISM (and anyone who doesn't flatten your ego, to the max), always expect "the ox to follow the cattle" and of maximum grade, then don't ask to be evaluated on the internet. I know that mr. You are entitled to a counter-response and give your point of view, but it is YOUR point of view only. My point of view is this. If you hadn't asked to "evaluate" I wouldn't even bother... And it's not just the pizza, the pastel was also horrible, greasy, worse than a bar (only the sweet, very good by the way, it was saved), but I decided to save this review, because the main thing was the pizza. Sorry to be honest, no one is perfect. And learn to be more humble. If you don't accept criticism, don't ask for an evaluation of your work and just stick with those who praise you (which as you can see are 99%). Only my opinion is more important to me than 1 million people. After all, I don't taste it with their tongue. I ate a very delicious shrimp gnocchi, seasoned just right... Family place and atmosphere decorated with very creative empty wine bottles. Differentiated decoration. Root mass. ?

Great pleasure in giving 5 stars, because I was on this night of 07/24/2021, in this wonderful place where I had the privilege of meeting its owner, Mr. Pasquale, very solicitous and with good conversation, an Italian restaurant with natural products lining up the characteristics of its origins, I was able to try a great bolognese penne that I recommend, a wonderful starter with bruschetta, cheese, etc... as you can see in the photos, and a spectacular grape juice. I'll definitely be back and I'll leave it as a tip, from one of the places that cariocas need to visit.

Cozy place, top quality items that impress with so much taste. I loved the place that refers to the traditions of the country, great service and I highly recommend it. Whenever I can, I go there. Photo of the divine Tiramusu!
