★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A capela do engenho, sob a invocação de Nossa Senhora da Apresentação, foi construída em 1616. Possui sacadas de ferro idênticas às existentes no casarão, apresenta frontão barroco e fachada neoclássica com sacada de ferro. Em seu interior se encontram sepultados descendentes da família Sousa Leão, sendo o túmulo dos Barões todo em mármore de Carrara, encimado por uma urna, ostentando as armas da família em baixo-relevo.
Ainda compõem o conjunto das edificações do engenho Moreno, as ruínas do que teria sido a fábrica (área de produção do açúcar) e a moradia dos escravos domésticos. Nota: O conjunto edificado do engenho Moreno foi catalogado pela FIDEM, no plano de preservação de sítios históricos (PPSH), em 1978.
The ingenuity chapel, under the invocation of Nossa Senhora da Presentation, was built in 1616. It has iron balconies identical to those in the mansion, has a baroque pediment and a neoclassical façade with an iron balcony. In its interior, descendants of the Sousa Leão family are buried, and the Barons' tomb is all in Carrara marble, surmounted by an urn, bearing the family's arms in bas-relief.
The ruins of what would have been the factory (sugar production area) and the home of domestic slaves still make up the set of buildings on the Moreno plantation. Note: The building complex of the Moreno mill was cataloged by FIDEM, in the plan for the preservation of historic sites (PPSH), in 1978.
