Nice area by night to have a drink, I recommend the 5 reais caipirinhas they sell on the street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Emblematic place and with a lot of history about Afro descendants, it is a very nice place, with music and places to eat. The cobbled streets and their buildings of vibrant colors, their pronounced paths and their pleasant climate make it unmissable. This is a restricted area for vehicles, it cannot enter only by walking.

So much history and so much progression from the terrible days of slavery - love it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is so beautiful and cool. Lot of culture and entertainment, but you have to pay attention cause there are some robbers. So If you are at Pelourinho, don't show up at streets wearing golden necklaces.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous place and a must-see for everyone! UNESCO heritage site with lots of beautiful old buildings and local people with their huge dresses. Shops, restaurants, museums, churches, street vendors, musicians...
I could stay here all day!
It felt very safe, there were many policemen and tourist police around.
