★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This eye clinic located in Joao Pessoa is part of the universal health care system in Brazil. This means you’re going to be waiting…a long time. There’s plenty of seating, but first you stand in line, not once or twice, but three times. Then you see a nurse. Then you wait for the doctor. When you finally get to see him, you’ve been here at least 3 hours.
The doctor will give you all the quality time you need for your diagnosis, as long as this takes less than 2 minutes.
But, the price is right—you don’t pay a dime. So, I’m still glad that it’s here
