Na imagem, a diretora da Escola Normal Heitor Lira, Professora Lisette de Almeida Vanderley, lê uma homenagem realizada pela instituição ao Duque de Caxias.
A Escola Normal Heitor Lira foi criada pela lei nº 906 de 16 de dezembro de 1957. Hoje, ela funciona na Rua Cuba, na Penha, mas antes de ocupar sua sede própria, ela funcionou de 1959 a 1962 na Rua Conde de Agrolongo 1246, no prédio da escola municipal de mesmo nome.
Em 25 de junho de 1962, A Escola Normal Heitor Lira se mudou para a Rua Engenheiro Moreira Lima 54, onde foi feito este registro fotográfico. No dia 26 de dezembro de 1968 ela finalmente se mudou para o prédio que ocupa hoje, na Penha.

In the image, the director of the Escola Normal Heitor Lira, Professor Lisette de Almeida Vanderley, reads a tribute made by the institution to Duque de Caxias.
The Heitor Lira Normal School was created by law nº 906 of December 16, 1957. Today, it operates on Rua Cuba, in Penha, but before occupying its own headquarters, it operated from 1959 to 1962 on Rua Conde de Agrolongo 1246, in the building of the municipal school of the same name.
On June 25, 1962, Escola Normal Heitor Lira moved to Rua Engenheiro Moreira Lima 54, where this photographic record was made. On December 26, 1968, she finally moved into the building she occupies today, in Penha.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Colégio estadual clássico, corredores grandes, sala com muitas mesas e cadeiras, janelas arcaicas e ar condicionado, banheiros grandes. Em todo o perímetro interno da unidade pichações ou coisas escritas pelos alunos (deprimente a falta de valor dado as escolas públicas do nosso estado).
Classic state school, big hallways, room with lots of tables and chairs, archaic windows and air conditioning, big bathrooms. All around the unit's internal perimeter are graffiti or things written by students (depressing the lack of value given the public schools in our state).

Os alunos novos (1° ano) tiveram que se retirarem do colégio porque, simplesmente, não fizeram grade para eles. Como assim???? Tiveram 2 meses para isso! Total falta de respeito!!! Falta de competência dos envolvidos!!!
