A atual Santana do São Francisco antigamente chamada de Santana do São Francisco mantém a tradição do moldar o barro até torná-lo arte. Na cidade e seus arredores é possível ver vários locais onde os artistas fazem sua arte com as portas abertas. No dia de nossa passagem por lá estavam organizando a mostra no salão da comunidade. Exposição de objetos para decoração, utensílios para uso doméstico, panelas e filtros de barro.

Many options, reasonable prices in Santana do Sao Francisco....but I preferred to know and buy from the potters/artisans themselves, I went to ceramics...I recommend...and they favor those who do.

Só não vou dar 5 estrelas, porque inevitavelmente são peças delicadas, e seria bom se tivessem um sistema de embalagem melhor. Compramos 10 peças, duas acabaram quebrando na viagem.

I just won't give it 5 stars, because inevitably they are delicate pieces, and it would be nice if they had a better packaging system. We bought 10 pieces, two ended up breaking on the trip.
