★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tem uma boa localidade, fica quase no centro da cidade. Porém, achei mal cuidado, precisando de reformas. Entrei em uma das salas, e o cheiro de mofo era muito grande, principalmente pra quem tem alergia.
It has a good location, is almost in the city center. However, I found it poorly in need of renovations. I entered one of the rooms, and the musty smell was very big, especially for those with allergies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelente centro cultural. Abriga projetos de difusão artística como Cia Palavras Andarilhas. Em "cartaz" há sete anos (se não me engano) , é um verdadeiro laboratório da palavra. Já conheci nomes formados por esse grupo.
Especialmente à frente dos trabalhos, Lenice Gomes, autora de 40 livros, estimula a criação com suas histórias.
Excellent cultural center. It houses projects of artistic diffusion such as Cia Palavras Andarilhas. In "poster" seven years ago (if I'm not mistaken), it is a true laboratory of the word. I have already met names formed by this group.
Especially ahead of the works, Lenice Gomes, author of 40 books, encourages creation with her stories.

Também possui um acervo museológico da UFPE formado por mobiliário do século 19 e peças de arte, algumas do Mestre Vitalino.
The building works in a beautiful 19th century mansion, housing a small but pleasant theater, the Joaquim Cardozo Theater, as well as a Benfica Bookstore and the Contemporary Art Institute. It also has a museum collection from UFPE formed by 19th century furniture and pieces of art, some by Mestre Vitalino.
