★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A história desta igreja, segundo o pesquisador de capelas José Luiz de Carvalho, começou nos anos 80 com o esforço dos moradores do bairro, junto ao Diácono Octávio Arantes. A área do terreno de 1049 metros quadrados foi doada pela Companhia Agrícola Florestal e em 19 de março de 1987 foi constituída uma comissão para a construção da capela.
A primeira missa foi celebrada no dia 16 de outubro de 1988, tendo como celebrante o Bispo Dom Roberto Pinarello de Almeida e cocelebrante Frei Clemente da Costa Neves. A entronização da imagem da Padroeira aconteceu no dia 26 de maio de 1991, com a presença do Bispo. O diácono Octávio Arantes ficou responsável até a chegada do Padre Norberto Savietto na Paróquia de Santa Teresinha na Vila Rio Branco. Com a sua chegada e tendo como colaborador o Sr. Odair Capellato, Padre Norberto promoveu algumas inovações, como a implementação de catequeses, passando assim de capela a uma igreja ligada a Paróquia de Santa Teresinha.
The history of this church, according to the researcher of chapels José Luiz de Carvalho, began in the 1980s with the efforts of the residents of the neighborhood, together with Deacon Octávio Arantes. The land area of 1049 square meters was donated by the Companhia Agrícola Florestal and on March 19, 1987 a commission for the construction of the chapel was set up.
The first mass was celebrated on October 16, 1988, with Bishop Roberto Pinarello de Almeida as celebrant and co-celebrant Friar Clemente da Costa Neves. The enthronement of the image of the patron saint took place on May 26, 1991, with the presence of the Bishop. Deacon Octávio Arantes was responsible until Father Norberto Savietto arrived at the Parish of Santa Teresinha in Vila Rio Branco. Upon his arrival and having as a collaborator Mr. Odair Capellato, Father Norberto promoted some innovations, such as the implementation of catechesis, thus changing from a chapel to a church linked to the Parish of Santa Teresinha.
