A igreja de Santana, da primeira metade do século XVIII, localiza-se no antigo largo do mesmo nome (atual Praça Duque de Caxias), recuada em relação às edificações vizinhas e precedida por um adro que se articula com sua nave por ampla escadaria. Em alvenaria de pedra, nunca chegou a ser concluída, tendo suas obras paralisadas, em torno de 1850, devido ao êxodo da população local para outra região mineira.

The church of Santana, from the first half of the 18th century, is located in the old square of the same name (currently Praça Duque de Caxias), set back from the neighboring buildings and preceded by a churchyard that articulates with its nave by a wide staircase. In stone masonry, it was never completed, and its works were paralyzed, around 1850, due to the exodus of the local population to another mining region.

Belissima Church, with all its history, in a city that is worth to know, Rio de Contas with several tourist attractions such as waterfalls, the Royal road, the zofi den, and more, it is worth visiting at least a month to you get to know all the attractions that the city offers, in addition to other historical and ancient churches, with this beautiful square to rest relax or simply take photos.

Após sua restauração pode-se perceber sues belos acabamentos por trás de pinturas feitas sem um estudo profundo e talvez sem reconhecimento do IPHAN. Linda estrutura e onde acontecem a maioria dos eventos religiosos no decorrer do ano.
Church dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament, the largest religious festival held between May and June depending on the season. After its restoration it is possible to notice its beautiful finishes behind paintings done without a thorough study and perhaps without recognition from IPHAN. Beautiful structure and where most religious events take place throughout the year.
