★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Companhia Independente de Policiamento de Guardas - CIPGD compreende os municípios da Região Metropolitana de Natal que possuem Presídios, CEDUC ou estabelecimentos congêneres de custódia de presos e reeducandos, competindo-lhe:
I – realizar policiamento ostensivo de guardas na parte externa dos estabelecimentos prisionais localizados na Região Metropolitana de Natal;
II – auxiliar o sistema penitenciário na condução e escolta de presos para
audiências;
III – garantir a segurança dos funcionários do sistema penitenciário nas atividades de revistas em estabelecimentos prisionais;
IV – atuar repressivamente em caso de perturbação da ordem pública;
V – cooperar com as atividades das demais unidades operacionais da Polícia Militar e com outros órgãos nas ações de prevenção e repressão da criminalidade;
VI – realizar outros encargos previstos no art. 2º. da Lei Complementar nº. 090, de 04 de janeiro de 1991.
 The Independent Guard Policing Company - CIPGD comprises the municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of Natal that have Prisons, CEDUC or similar detention and re-educating custody establishments.
I - conduct ostentatious policing of guards outside prisons located in the Natal Metropolitan Region;
II - assist the prison system in conducting and escorting prisoners to
hearings;
III - to guarantee the safety of prison staff in the activities of magazines in prisons;
IV - act repressively in case of disturbance of public order;
V - cooperate with the activities of the other operational units of the Military Police and with other agencies in the prevention and repression of crime;
VI - perform other charges provided for in art. 2nd of Complementary Law no. 090, of January 4, 1991.
