★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uma vez chamei a guarda municipal pra acabar com uma festa clandestina na minha rua (em plena pandemia). Eles não acabaram e ainda receberam agradecimentos do DJ (molharam a mão, né?). O slogan desse órgão municipal é uma piada, deve servir pra disfarçar a corrupção interna.
I once called the municipal guard to put an end to a clandestine party on my street (in the middle of a pandemic). They didn't finish and even received thanks from the DJ (wet their hands, right?). The slogan of this municipal body is a joke, it should serve to disguise internal corruption.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Guarde Municipal de Belém é aínda uma instituição que, apesar de alguns que ficam denegrindo sua imagem, tem o respeito da população belenenses, possui um contingente pequeno de um pouco mais de 1200 guardas que atuam em diversas áreas da segurança pública, seu papel dentro da segurança pública deixou de ser apenas de vigilância do patrimônio e passou a atuar diretamente na segurança em geral dos munícipes que traz mais responsabilidades que é a prevenção e combate do crime (ostensividade), além de poder desempenhar atividades no trânsito e outras áreas como video monitoramento possui também uma excelente banda de música que faz muitas apresentações pela Cidade. Todas essas mudanças foram promovidas por lei federal e portanto não tem volta e não tem mais discussões sobre sua legalidade.
