★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Convento dos frades capuchinhos onde repousa os restos do frei Damião de Bozzano, missionário capuchinho italiano, que viveu no Nordeste brasileiro se dedicando a pregar o Evangelho de Jesus Cristo. Morreu em 31 de maio de 1997, aos 99 anos. Há diversas atividades litúrgicas no convento e todos os anos na última semana de maio é realizada uma festa em memória do frei Damião, atraindo milhares de pessoas de Pernambuco e de outros estados por onde o frei passou em vida. Também no local tem um memorial com fotos e objetos pessoais e litúrgicos do frei Damião. Vale a pena uma visita!!!
Convent of the Capuchin friars, where the remains of Fr. Damião de Bozzano, an Italian Capuchin missionary, who lived in Northeastern Brazil, dedicated to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, rest. He died on May 31, 1997, at the age of 99. There are several liturgical activities in the convent and every year in the last week of May, a celebration is held in memory of Friar Damião, attracting thousands of people from Pernambuco and other states where the friar spent his life. Also on site is a memorial with photos and personal and liturgical objects of Friar Damião. It's worth a visit !!!

E nesse mesmo convento está sepultado o venerável Frei Damião de Bozzano, que está em processo para se tornar um dos santos de nossa amada igreja católica, vocês imaginam que previlegio para nós brasileiros nordestinos ter um santo bem próximo da gente? Isso é maravilhoso, Deus abençoe a todos! Frei Damião intercedei por nós!
A piece of heaven here on earth! And in that same convent is buried the venerable Friar Damião de Bozzano, who is in the process of becoming one of the saints of our beloved Catholic Church, can you imagine that it is a privilege for us Brazilians from the Northeast to have a saint very close to us?
