★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um dos conventos mais antigos do Brasil, além de importância histórica é arquitetonicamente belo. Possui espaços bem conservados e retocados pelo IPHAN, além de locais onde escravos eram mantidos e castigados. Também fez parte do cenário da novela Velho Chico, da rede Globo. Visita obrigatória a quem passa por São Francisco do Paraguaçu.
 One of the oldest convents in Brazil, besides historical importance is architecturally beautiful. It has well-maintained and retouched spaces by IPHAN, as well as places where slaves were kept and punished. It was also part of the scenario of the soap opera Velho Chico, from Globo network. Must visit to anyone who goes through São Francisco do Paraguaçu.

This magical place located in the Paraguaçu River basin should be visited by as many tourists as possible, whether from Bahia or not, as it is simply surprising.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O lugar respira história e tranquilidade. É talvez um dos monumentos históricos mais bonitos que já vi (tombado pelo IPHAN desde 1941) e - infelizmente - parece um tanto esquecido pelo tempo, o que acaba gerando esse ar bucólico do lugar.
The place breathes history and tranquility. It is perhaps one of the most beautiful historical monuments I have ever seen (tumbled by IPHAN since 1941) and - unfortunately - seems somewhat forgotten by time, which ends up generating this bucolic air of the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quem me levou só local disse: - "vou te levar ao lugar mais lindo da Bahia." Eu é claro duvidei, mas olha, quando cheguei foi mágico, que obra esplendorosa é aquela igreja, (mesmo estando em condições não tão favoráveis) a riqueza de detalhes é a coisa mais linda que já vi, e olha que já vi muitas igrejas mas igual a essa, nunca antes.
Whoever took me only local said: - "I will take you to the most beautiful place in Bahia." I of course doubted it, but look, when I arrived it was magical, what a splendid work that church is, (even though it is not in such favorable conditions) the richness of details is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and look, I have seen many churches but like this, never before.
