Na sua direção está Tácito Borralho. A COTEATRO criou o Centro de Artes Cênicas do Maranhão (CACEM), primeira escola técnica do gênero no Estado.
 Companhia Oficina de Teatro (COTEATRO) is a cooperative society of Maranhão actors created in August 1989 to maintain a permanent cast and perform shows that will contribute to the formation of audiences in Maranhão. Towards you is Tacitus Borralho. COTEATRO created the Maranhão Performing Arts Center (CACEM), the first technical school of its kind in the state.
