★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dialogo is awesome! It is not easy to find a good school for Portuguese (for me it took 2 years) but this is it. From the very first moment I knew that at this school I'd learn the language. The teacher(s) are highly qualified focusing on talking without forgetting the grammar. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional. I've learnt a few languages so I think I know what I'm talking about. I'll be back as soon as I can. Dialogo is my school for Portuguese :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall, I had a positive experience at Diálogo. It's a nice language school in the amazing city of Salvador da Bahia, located in a fun section of town called Barra, which is by the beach but also a fairly quick bus ride up to the Pelourinho (the historic center). The teachers and staff are lovely, and the student body diverse. Studying there definitely helped to sharpen my Portuguese language skills and provided a safe "nest" from which to explore the city. I took full advantage of extra-curricular classes offered by the school such as samba and capoeira, and also participated in wonderful excursions - one, a boat trip to the islands on the Bay of All Saints, and the other, to see a brilliant folkloric dance performance. The school also arranged a home stay for me with a wonderful lady - a retired school teacher and grandmother - who made me feel at home and cooked me a delicious breakfast each morning. One criticism (or rather suggestion) I would have for the school is to administer regular, end-of-week assessments in language competence, so that any necessary changes in class level can be handled efficiently. That said, I would not hesitate to recommend this school to someone visiting Brazil - whether for just a few weeks or longer - who wants to make friends and get deeper into the language and culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent 4 weeks at Dialogo in December and enjoyed my experiences so much I came back this summer. During july and august I spent 6 weeks studying the language. The teachers are very good, patient and have a good comprehension of what they are doing. The staff at the office are very helpful and are committed to ensuring you enjoy your experience.
The extra activiteis like capoeira and dance class were always a great way to get in touch with the locla culture, as well as better know the classmates. I truely recommed this school for a unique life experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent 2 months at Dialogo in Salvador and I had a wonderful time.
I hardly spoke when I started, but after two months I was fluent. The teachers were very eager to teach us about every day life in Brazil and we learnt to understand and communicate with every one. The school also offers trips and activities or help you organize something on your own.
Also my host family was really nice.
They really try to make you feel welcome, I can only recommend it!!

Would highly recommend to anyone at any level. Aside from the actual classes all the other staff at the school were really lovely and ready to help with whatever you need and the school is also very conveniently located and close to the beach!

Teachers made learning Portuguese fun and interesting, and the staff was very helpful and eager to make your time there the best. The school is located to some of the most beautiful views of Salvador. Diálogo is definitely a school I will attend again in the future!

The teachers are excellent and eager to help students improve, and there was a strong sense of community there. I made some very good friends from many different countries that I continue to communicate with today. My experience was worth every single penny!
