Depois no acompanhamento na clínica, foi muito explicativo, parecia que eu era aluna de medicina, de tanto que explicou... Foi uma aula... Pareceu ter muito conhecimento do assunto...
A consulta demorou mais de duas horas... Fez vários testes e exames.
Gostei bastante do atendimento.
Dr Charlington was very helpful, he got quick care and exams while my baby was in the ICU, with his help we managed to be discharged from the ICU.
After the follow-up at the clinic, it was very explanatory, it seemed that I was a medical student, because she explained so much... It was a class... She seemed to have a lot of knowledge of the subject...
The consultation took more than two hours... He underwent several tests and exams.

Eu nem iria avaliar, porém conheci muitas mães no instituto que meu filho realiza o tratamento e ouvi cada coisa a respeito dele que resolvi falar, pra que melhore ou pelo menos outras mães pensem duas vezes antes de passar pelo o que eu e outras passamos.
Uma mãe, quando seu filho recebe o diagnóstico de autismo, não tem informação alguma sobre o que é, o que fazer, quais são as terapias adequadas, horas de intervenção, etc. Cabe UNICAMENTE ao médico que fecha o diagnóstico passar TODAS as informações e com EMPATIA, que é algo no qual esse médico não tem!!!
Com muito arrogância, passa o diagnóstico em uma consulta superficial de 15 minutos, não dá laudo e só diz "faz t.o, fono, psicoterapia e tá tudo certo". Eu saí da consulta dele achando que os 30min de fono por semana que o convênio tinha a oferecer para o meu filho fosse o suficiente, pois o senhor Charllington EM MOMENTO ALGUM mencionou que uma criança com TEA precisa de muuuuitas horas de intervenção.
Ele simplesmente dá o diagnóstico, não te explica nada, se você tem dúvidas ele responde com arrogância como se você fosse obrigada a saber tudo. Eu fui atrás pra pesquisar sobre os tratamentos, descobri o método ABA e cheguei até uma médica particular maravilhosa. A consulta dela leva 2 horas no mínimo. Avaliou tudo, nos mínimos detalhes, teve empatia e meu filho saiu de lá com laudo, medicação que ajudou muito e relatório com todas as terapias necessárias, no qual ele já está fazendo, todos os dias no instituto especializado no método ABA.
Lá ele é famosos pelas grosserias e arrogância dele. Ouvi falar que no particular ele é diferente.
Só desejo que você melhore Charllington. Tenha mais empatia, se fecha o diagnóstico dê o laudo e passe as terapias certas, sem ser grosso e arrogante com pais que passam por esse primeiro momento tão difícil. Não custa nada se colocar no lugar do outro.
Unfortunately, my experience with this doctor was terrible. I wouldn't even evaluate it, but I met many mothers at the institute where my son undergoes treatment and I heard everything about him that I decided to talk about, so that he gets better or at least other mothers think twice before going through what I and others went through.
A mother, when her child is diagnosed with autism, does not have any information about what it is, what to do, what are the appropriate therapies, hours of intervention, etc. It is SOLELY up to the doctor who closes the diagnosis to pass ALL the information and with EMPATHY, which is something this doctor does not have!!!
With a lot of arrogance, he passes the diagnosis in a superficial 15-minute consultation, doesn't give a report and just says "do t.o, speech, psychotherapy and everything is fine". I left his appointment thinking that the 30min of speech a week that the insurance had to offer for my son was enough, because Mr. Charllington AT NO TIME mentioned that a child with ASD needs soooo many hours of intervention.
He simply gives the diagnosis, doesn't explain anything to you, if you have questions he answers with arrogance as if you were obliged to know everything. I went back to research the treatments, discovered the ABA method and got to a wonderful private doctor. Her consultation takes at least 2 hours. He evaluated everything, in the smallest details, he had empathy and my son left there with a report, medication that helped a lot and a report with all the necessary therapies, which he is already doing, every day at the institute specializing in the ABA method.
There he is famous for his rudeness and arrogance. I heard that in private he is different.
I just want you to get better Charllington. Have more empathy, if you close the diagnosis, give the report and pass the right therapies, without being rude and arrogant with parents who go through this difficult first moment. It doesn't hurt to put yourself in someone else's shoes.
