O que ocasionou na alteração do seu nome em 2001, que de Escola de Educação Física de Minas Gerais passou a chamar Escola de Educação Física, Fisioterapia e Terapia Ocupacional (EEFFTO). Na pós graduação são oferecidos os cursos de mestrado e doutorado em Ciências do Esporte, Ciência da Reabilitação, Educação Física Escolar e Estudos do Lazer, além de especialização em Fisioterapia, Estudos do Lazer, Terapia Ocupacional e Treinamento Esportivo.
A área, pertencente a sede da EEFFTO desde 1977, possui 12.000m². A administração da Escola é realizada pela diretoria e o auxilio da coordenação das Câmaras Departamentais e os colegiados de graduação e pós-graduação. Além disso, conta com estruturas de apoio, como Setor de Ensino, Almoxarifado, Setor de Pessoal, Setor de Compras, Setor de Contabilidade, Setor de Patrimônio, Tecnologia da Informação, Serviços Gerais, Biblioteca, e uma Assessoria de Comunicação.
A Escola é dividida em quatro departamentos: Educação Física, Esportes, Fisioterapia e Terapia Ocupacional. Também conta com dois órgãos responsáveis pela administração de projetos desenvolvidos paralelamente ao curso, o Centro de Extensão (Cenex) e o Núcleo de Assessoramento à Pesquisa (Napq), além de 30 laboratórios e uma academia (parte de um dos projetos de extensão).
institution, founded on November 15, 1953, currently offers 3 courses: Physical Education, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. What caused in the change of its name in 2001, that of School of Physical Education of Minas Gerais happened to call School of Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (EEFFTO). In the postgraduate course are offered master's and doctoral courses in Sports Sciences, Rehabilitation Science, Physical School Education and Leisure Studies, in addition to specialization in Physiotherapy, Leisure Studies, Occupational Therapy and Sports Training.
The area, belonging to EEFFTO's headquarters since 1977, has 12,000m². The administration of the School is carried out by the board and the assistance of the coordination of the Departmental Chambers and the collegiate of graduation and post-graduation. In addition, it has support structures, such as Education Sector, Warehouse, Personnel Sector, Purchasing Sector, Accounting Sector, Heritage Sector, Information Technology, General Services, Library, and a Communication Department.
The School is divided into four departments: Physical Education, Sports, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. It also has two bodies responsible for the administration of projects developed in parallel to the course, the Extension Center (Cenex) and the Research Advisory Center (Napq), as well as 30 laboratories and an academy (part of one of the extension projects).

I have been for over a year, the team of professionals and teachers are excellent, postural, functional gymnastics and dance. I'm fine, I've improved physically, mentally. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheguei nesta Escola (EEFFTO) há 2 anos e estou maravilhado pelo ambiente rico oferecido para todos os alunos pela unidade e por toda a UFMG. Estive na USP e em universidades e institutos italianos e dos EUA e posso afirmar que a UFMG é uma universidade diferenciada no Brasil. A EEFFTO possui docentes, laboratórios de ensino e pesquisa e atividades de extensão para a comunidade de alto nível! Alunos de graduação e pós-graduação com formação ÚNICA! Algumas estruturas são TOP e outras estão sendo melhoradas, mas o trabalho NÃO para lá! ORGULHO!
I arrived at this School (EEFFTO) 2 years ago and I am amazed by the rich environment offered to all students by the unit and throughout UFMG. I was at USP and at Italian and US universities and institutes and I can say that UFMG is a differentiated university in Brazil. EEFFTO has teachers, teaching and research laboratories and outreach activities for the high level community! UNDERSTANDING undergraduate and graduate students! Some structures are TOP and others are being improved, but the work does NOT stop there! PROUD!
