Voar em são Conrado é o sonho de muitos. Existem ali tanto os voos de asa-delta quanto de parapente.
A modalidade asa-delta é a mais procurada e tradicional, mas você que escolherá. Ambas são seguras e a associação controla o credenciamento de pilotos habilitados e as inspeções de segurança nos equipamentos.
Existem duas formas de vocês agendar seu vôo:
1) escolha dentre as várias escolas de vôo que operam em São Conrado, agende diretamente com eles ou pelo seu concierge do hotel. A maioria consegue ajudar na indicação do transfer para o local e algumas possuem até o transfer incluso.
2) dirija-se até a praia de São Conrado (canto direito da praia) e lá existe a sede da associação. Na associação você escolhe a modalidade (asa ou parapente) e eles providenciarão um instrutor "da vez" que será seu anfitrião nessa aventura de voar sobre parte da floresta de mata atlântica do Rio de Janeiro.

Flying in Sao Conrado is the dream of many. There are both hang gliding and paragliding flights there.
Hang gliding is the most sought after and traditional, but you will choose. Both are safe and the association controls the accreditation of qualified pilots and safety inspections on equipment.
There are two ways for you to schedule your flight:
1) Choose from the various flight schools that operate in Sao Conrado, book directly with them or through your hotel concierge. Most can help with the transfer to the location and some even have the transfer included.
2) drive to São Conrado beach (right corner of the beach) and there is the association's headquarters. In the association you choose the mode (wing or paragliding) and they will provide an instructor "in turn" that will be your host in this adventure of flying over part of the rainforest of Rio de Janeiro.

You go to the beach first, there you get your paperwork done and then you go up Pedra Bonita. You must be patient and wait for your turn. We came on a long weekend and we had to wait 3 hours!!! But, totally worth it. The flight goes for 10 minutes approximately.
You must experience once in your life the ala delta!
Wowwww, volar en ala delta! Que experiencia inolvidable!!! Corres (literal) desde el techo de Pedra Bonita al aire y así volas! Las vistas desde el vuelo te dejan sin palabras!
Primero vas a la playa donde haces todo el papeleo y después subís a Pedra Bonita. Tenes que ser paciente y esperar tu turno. Vinimos un fin de semana largo y esperamos 3 horas!!! Pero, valió la pena todo. El vuelo es de 10 minutos aproximadamente.
Tenes que vivir la experiencia de volar en ala delta una vez en tu vida!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Efficient. Professional. Awesome. Hang gliding with Renato was arguably better than skydiving Sydney or Paragliding Colombia (San Gil).
I flew with Renato this morning in Rio de Janeiro and absolutely loved it. Better yet, Renato was understanding that I had a flight from Rio to Sao Paulo at midday, so arranged a driver to collect me at my hotel, look after my luggage while we flew, and take me to the airport (via Copacabana beach for some photos) after hang gliding.
Further, he made sure I was the first person of the day flying. Conditions were cloudy near the platform, but as soon as we had an opening we went for it and flew. Easy to follow instructions, he let me steer for a while, and impeccable landing. Loved it!
