★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to Galeria Cafe in Rio. Music was great but in my opinion it is a death trap. If anything unexpected happens there, no one is getting out quickly. Good looking people you will find there indeed, but you cannot move in this place. You cannot put decor in one single room and call it a club. The front door charge at R$60 is ridiculous. This does not even include drinks which is just as pricey. If you want to pay that money just to be felt up and rubbed up by strangers, by all means go... but if you in the mood to party and dance and not pay a kings ransom, I say do not waste your time to go there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to the Treta party here on the Wednesday before Carnaval. Arrived at 1 a.m. and the place was so packed that we had to wait 1.5 hours in line before getting in. ID was required but showing a photo of it on my phone worked. The small, nicely decorated space was packed full of men, most in their 20s and 30s, many very attractive. Their caipirinhas were delicious. The music was a mix of Brazilian and international dance. Nice, original lighting setup on the ceiling. 60Rs entry. Drinks are charged via the barcode on the plastic card received upon entry and the tab must be paid upstairs before exiting. Credit cards accepted. Will surely return there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Much better than we were expecting based on the reviews. We went on a Friday night. The music was great. The crowd was a good size but it never got too crowded, even though the space size is on the cozy side. There was a good mix of different types and ages. Good staff. Good layout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warning !!!! Be very careful with the bar staff, they will put thing in your tab that you did not consume! Happen to me last night , I even told the guy and he ignored me and did it anyway ! Is not about the money but about thr dishonesty. I try to ask for help and the woman in the check out line told me I need to talk to him .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice disco next to the Praça do General Osório. I've been there on a Wednesday night for the popular Treta Party with good pop-music, mostly the actual charts.
The only draw-back is that everything is very small, tall people can't stand normally next to one of the 2 bars as the ceiling is so low and on the dance-floor ir's the same, you can't move... If you come as a couple or a small group it's nice, beautiful guys and good music... Entrance was rather expensive, 45 Reais, no drinks, but it seems there is a list where you have to register and then it's cheaper...
Anyway nice place for gays?
