The gallery has free exhibitions and works are exhibited both by people connected with the School of Fine Arts next door, as well as local and foreign artists. It's worth a visit and the displays are wonderful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Um ótimo espaço para exposições de alunos e novos artistas, bem como exposições de artistas consagrados e professores da casa. Climatizado, limpo e bem conservado. Onde já passaram artistas como Carybé, Calazans Neto, Juarez Paraíso, e tantos outros. Existe um problema de acessibilidade para com o público que não frequenta a Escola de Belas Artes, pois o portão fica fechado há pelo menos 2 anos, mesmo em dias de exposições e vernissages. Algo que deveria ser considerado pela gestão atual e pelo reitor, pois como espaço público e democrático, a comunidade externa deveria poder ter livre acesso pela porta da frente. Já temos muitos ambientes elitizados de arte em Salvador, a Galeria Cañizares tem essa importante função social de inclusão.
A great space for exhibitions by students and new artists, as well as exhibitions by renowned artists and teachers of the house. Air-conditioned, clean and well maintained. Where artists such as Carybé, Calazans Neto, Juarez Paraíso, and many others have passed. There is an accessibility problem for the public that does not attend the School of Fine Arts, as the gate has been closed for at least 2 years, even on days of exhibitions and vernissages. Something that should be considered by the current administration and by the rector, because as a public and democratic space, the external community should be able to have free access through the front door. We already have many elite art environments in Salvador, Galeria Cañizares has this important social inclusion function.
