Os casos mais graves que o hospital não consegue agir envia para hospitais vizinhos, mas a maioria das vezes é aqui mesmo que os casos são resolvidos e os problemas de saúde curados. Um dos problemas do hospital é a falta de reforma, a estrutura já pede a muito tempo por melhorias. Outro problema é a localização, o hospital está localizado ao lado da via mais movimentada da cidade e a poucos metros do mangueiral, que em tempos de festa acaba incomodando com o som alto. A localização do hospital é consequência da falta do plano diretor que não existe.
