Foi palco de uma controvérsia de terreno com a antiga imobiliária da região (vide vídeos no Canal TV VozdoCLIENTE) e é dirigida pela diretoria da comunidade católica da região de Nova Contagem apesar de lá já pertencer ao município de Esmeraldas.
 Present in the community since the 90's, the church marks the "entrance" of the old Serra Verde and has effective actions. It was the scene of a controversy on the land with the old real estate of the region (see videos on VozdoCLIENTE TV Channel) and is directed by the board of the Catholic community in the region of Nova Contagem although it already belongs to the municipality of Esmeraldas.
