A Igreja Católica é muitas vezes confundida com a Igreja Católica Latina, uma das suas 24 Igrejas autônomas e a maior de todas elas.
The Catholic Church, intending to respect the culture and tradition of its faithful, is therefore currently constituted by 24 autonomous sui iuris churches, all of them in complete communion and subordinated to the Pope. These Churches, despite having the same doctrine and faith, have a different cultural, historical, theological and liturgical tradition and a separate structure and territorial organization. The Catholic Church is often confused with the Latin Catholic Church, one of its 24 autonomous churches and the largest of them all.
