After arriving for the consultation I was advised that some doctors only accept cash or check. I went back to work and only wasted time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So nao dei 0 estrelas pq nao tem, me deixaram esperando 1 hora 30 min sem ser atendido. Péssimo atendimento tanto medico quanto de sua assistente, ambos mal humorados e mal educados. Dr Joao nao recomendo.
So I did not give the stars because they did not, they left me waiting 1 hour 30 minutes without being attended. Terrible care both doctor and his assistant, both grumpy and uneducated. Dr Joao I do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Conheço a clínica há muito tempo, na verdade de antes de ela ter ido para a galeria Brooklin. Sou cliente do Dr. Velasques há muitos anos, por plano de saúde, e ele sempre foi competentíssimo - bem melhor que clínicas que se dizem especializadas por aí. Agora, no novo endereço, a clínica está muito bem equipada, com instrumentos novos. Em virtude do meu filho ter começado a usar óculos, comecei a marcar no mesmo horário dele, com a Dra. Simone, outra profissional competentíssima. Somos muito bem atendidos, sempre, com todos os exames necessários. O atendimento é muito bom e é muito fácil agendar com eles.
I've known the clinic for a long time, actually before she went to the Brooklin Gallery. I'm Dr. Velasques customer for many years, for health care, and he was always very competent - much better than clinics that specialized say there. Now, at the new address, the clinic is very well equipped with new instruments. Because my son has started to wear glasses, I began to score at the same time it, with Dr. Simone, another competentíssima professional. We are very well catered for, always, with all the necessary tests. The service is very good and is very easy schedule with them.

Em 10/10/2020 fiz meu primeiro exame de vista em outra clinica, ok, detectado 0,50 se miopia, fiz um óculos, não me adaptei...deixei de usar.
Em 22 de Maio de 2021 resolvi procurar uma clínica e refazer o exame pq senti que a vista estava piorando, e ai o susto, 2,00 no direito e 1,50 no esquerdo, enfim, surtei né, minha referência era 0,50, pensei que no máximo estaria com 1,00... alem de tudo, aparentemente tinha sinais de alergia ocular... fiz milhões de exames, e no intervalo, enquanto aguardava o resultado dos exames, eu senti uma melhora na minha vista, um belo dia minha visão ficou mais nitida.
Voltei na consulta, os resultados não apresentaram nada de alergia, mas aproveitei e falei para o Dr que havia sentido uma melhora e que gostaria de refazer o exame antes de fazer os óculos.
A resposta dele foi:
- não é necessário, vista nenhuma melhora desta forma, basicamente disse: seu grau é esse e pronto acabou!
Eu sai da clinica confusa, e não aceitei aquele resultado.
Fiquei sem tempo para refazer, fui levando, até que em outubro resolvi fazer, mesma clínica, outro médico, outro resultado.
Enfim, 0,75 de miopia.
Ué, mas não era impossível uma vista melhorar???
Não, não é impossível.
Eu tive covid e vi milhares de relatos de pessoas que tiveram problemas com a visão após o covid, se eu disse que senti uma melhora, acho que o médico deveria considerar...
Agora pronto, fiz meus óculos e segui minha vida com meus 0,75 de miopia.

On 10/10/2020 I had my first eye exam at another clinic, ok, detected 0.50 if myopia, I had glasses, I didn't adapt... I stopped using them.
On May 22, 2021 I decided to look for a clinic and redo the exam because I felt that my eyesight was getting worse, and then the scare, 2.00 on the right and 1.50 on the left, anyway, I freaked out, my reference was 0.50 , I thought at the most I would be at 1.00... on top of that, apparently I had signs of eye allergy... I had millions of exams, and in the meantime, while waiting for the results of the exams, I felt an improvement in my eyesight, one fine day my vision became clearer.
I went back to the consultation, the results did not show any allergy, but I took the opportunity and told the Dr that I had felt an improvement and that I would like to redo the exam before taking the glasses.
His answer was:
- it's not necessary, seeing no improvement in this way, I basically said: that's your degree and that's it!
I left the clinic confused, and I didn't accept that result.
I didn't have time to do it again, I kept taking it, until in October I decided to do the same clinic, another doctor, another result.
Anyway, 0.75 of myopia.

No, it's not impossible.
I had covid and I saw thousands of reports of people who had problems with their vision after the covid, if I said I felt an improvement, I think the doctor should consider...
Now ready, I made my glasses and went on with my life with my 0.75 myopia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No dia 14/01 consegui um encaixe para passar com o Dr. José Velasques no último horário do consultório.
Cheguei na clínica com antecedência, mas houve um atraso e não fui atendida no meu horário.
Todos os pacientes atendidos pelo Dr. ficavam na sala em atendimento por pelo menos 10min.
Fiz meus exames de triagem com uma moça bem simpática, a recepcionista também atendia super bem, pediu desculpas pelo atraso, e enfim, chegou minha vez de ser atendida.
Era uma consulta de rotina, precisava fazer exames para saber se havia tido mudança em meu grau, mas para minha surpresa meu atendimento durou menos que 5min, o Dr. não realizou os exames necessários e apenas me passou um colírio por uma leve irritação alérgica que eu estava no dia.
Eu registrei minha reclamação na recepção, até tentaram me oferecer uma outra consulta com outro especialista, mas eu já não tinha mais disponibilidade. Demorei muito pra conseguir achar um oftalmo, porque pelo convênio não temos muito acesso a comentários de outros pacientes, então por esse motivo resolvi relatar aqui minha experiência com o Dr. José Velasques. Consulta completamente superficial, rápida, e com pouquíssima atenção.
On 01/14 I got an appointment to spend with Dr. José Velasques during the last office hours.
I arrived at the clinic early, but there was a delay and I was not seen on my schedule.
All patients seen by the Dr. stayed in the room for at least 10 minutes.
I did my screening exams with a very nice girl, the receptionist was also very good, apologized for the delay, and finally, it was my turn to be attended to.
It was a routine appointment, I needed to do tests to find out if there had been a change in my grade, but to my surprise my treatment lasted less than 5 minutes, the Dr. did not perform the necessary tests and just gave me eye drops for a slight allergic irritation that I was in the day.
I registered my complaint at the reception, they even tried to offer me another appointment with another specialist, but I was no longer available. It took me a long time to find an ophthalmologist, because through the insurance we don't have much access to comments from other patients, so for that reason I decided to report here my experience with Dr. José Velasques. Consultation completely superficial, fast, and with very little attention.
