When you're in it's a nice place to visit and there is a lot of land to cover! The honeybees are so nice to see and unfortunately the orchid garden was closed. Now I gave this place 3 stars because although it is nice if you don't have cash (because maybe you lost your wallet) then good luck getting in. Unfortunately just entering the park for us was difficult. They have an option to pay online yet they don't provide wifi unless you're a local with a Brazilian phone number and make it very difficult to pay online if you're a tourist who doesn't have a Brazilian bank account. Because of the slow wifi from my provider plus the attempt of trying to even process a payment we wasted a little over an hour just trying to get in. If it wasn't for a friend who later joined us and knew our problem therefore brought enough money for us to enter then we wouldn't have ever gone in.

Amazing view, nice calm walk around. If you not Brazilian it’s too pricey!! 70brazil money, it’s biggest minus, not fair a bit, but nice anyway;)

Very green and pretty exotic)) Not huge, can be walked across in 20 minutes, but I spent 2 hours inside) Has benches and a lot of shade, there's also a cafeteria inside (didn't visit). Entrance for foreigners is 67 reals! And they only accept cash, which was a big surprise. The ATM is a kilometer away, so make sure you have cash) Also, there are additional trail maps available in English and Portuguese at the desk opposite the gift store. I didn't take the guided tour, I used trail maps. They have historical trail maps and maps with amazonian species marked and described, and a couple more, maps are free)) I wouldn't have learned about those if it hadn't been for the very pleasant and helpful English-speaking guide Vinicius, big thanks to him!!

A definite must go when you're visiting Rio de Janeiro. Beautiful gardens, lots and lots of different and new trees and each of them have the detailed name and origin written. Many special areas such as Japanese garden, cactus area, medicinal plants etc. Also they have drinking fountain with pure clean water. I Really liked my visit.

Its beautiful but nothing really popped out. I've seen better botanical gardens in Portland, Oregon and San Francisco, California. I'm sorry, Brazil, but this one takes the back seat. Of course there were species of plants I've never seen, but I left feeling like there could've been more. It was dull in a sense. Worth the visit? A shaky yeah.

It's a lovely garden filled with shaded areas perfect for keeping cool on an afternoon. Fountains and irrigation canals surround you with the sound of falling water. The gazebo and meditation areas are especially nice. It's a little more expensive than other attractions in Rio and it's cash only. The entry line goes rather slowly.

This place doesn’t get enough publicity. It’s a gorgeous place to visit with lots to see. It’s a big park with hidden caverns, towers, lakes and much more. Definitely worth taking some time to walk and take in all the nature. There are lots of plants, flowers and animals. If the skies are clear you can see the Christ the Redeemer from below. It’s free to enter so don’t doubt about going!

Beautiful garden in Rio. Close to bus stops it is easy to get to. There is an entrance fee depending if you're Brazilian and a non Brazilian citizen. Garden is lush with plenty of exotic plants and tress. Perfect place to spend the afternoon. Plenty of amenities in the area: gift stores, washroom, restaurants, etc. Overall the garden is beautifully well maintained Would recommend if visiting Rio and want to have a more quiet, tranquil and green experience.
