Typical, no nonsense Japanese food. No concessions to wacky Brazilian recipes. Most wonderful fried pork cutlet. A little bit more expensive than neighbors but really worth it.

It's an offspring of the Kidoairaku Restaurant. It has a limited menu but they're all nicely prepared tasty food. They have a broad choice of desserts.

It was a great experience. It’s a minimalist environment to have your meal. The food is definitely great. Staff is supportive and the menu is written in PTBR, ENG and Japanese. There are several options of dishes with meat (pork, chicken and beef), and also noddles (lamen). This was the first place I saw the Soba noddle in the menu! I didn’t have it, but it will definitely my next experience. I had actually the pork tonkatsu and it was great. My wife had the missô lamen and it was the best missô lamen I had as well. The price it not so cheap (above the average); but the quality definitely fits the price. Now the cons: * It’s a small place so take care with the time you’re going there. Otherwise there will be a line to take a place. * It’s a restaurant that elder Japanese people enjoy, and they stay there for a long time in the second floor, so no tables at all. (Sure, I don’t think this bad, but it is not democratic to the people who wants to have the exp in this restaurant.) * Despite the food was delicious, it took a long time to have or meals on the table, and the restaurant wasn’t full of people at all. Do I recommend? Definitively yes. A good Japanese vibe at Liberdade.

It is a dive family owned Japanese restaurant that can be very crowded on weekends and lunch time. I had the chicken Katsu which was very tasty especially with the mustard paste. Rice is good and the others were ok. Place is indeed not very inviting but the food is worth for under $70.

My favorite japonese restaurant in São Paulo, very tradicional cuisine, the prices are indeed a little higher, but the size and the quality of the food make the difference. Try the "bento".
