★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my very first hour learning how to kite, which I have booked as a part of a 5 hrs package with Andre at Kitesoul. Andre gave me an excellent (clear & crisp, easy to grasp, but comprehensive) training of kite surfing techniques, safety matters and assembling / dissembling of an actual kite we had there to the point that I was very eager to take the next step with full confidence. Unfortunately, strong enough wind didn’t arrive .. what Andre did then was let me try it out with smaller kite and also other techniques like pulling strings to give me at least a little bit of practice (which he didn’t charge for!). At the end of the lesson, he was very sorry that It didn’t go the way planned (due to the lack of wind) and he only took the payment for 1hr (technical training) at a reduced rate of 5hrs package. He also made sure I got home safely and gave more advise. I know I was unlucky with the wind, but I cannot honestly imagine a better technical training / coach than Andre in this situation. Thank you very much and I really hope that it works out next time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Rio for a week at a conference and decided to learn kiteboarding. Picked up the closest instructor to my hotel.
I couldn’t be happier with my choice.
Andre was phenomenal, with a remarkable patience. He was very accommodating, despite my frequent schedule changes during the conference. With his excellent English, he took me through the basic steps meticulously, without a hint of frustration. Despite some challenging wind conditions, I managed to learn most of the basics in 10 hours of training.
I had a great time and highly recommend Andre as a mentor for your first kiteboarding experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Andre was very good and responsive from the beginning, making sure we had the best conditions for the lesson. He recommend taking the lesson at the Araruama lagoon and it is totally worth it. The wind was strong and the shallow water helps a ton for beginners.
Andre is very knowledgeable. He is very attentive to details and give the best tips and advices to improve the ride. I had lessons in other places before and was still struggling to combine kite and board skills. Within a few minutes of his lesson I was already riding like I've never done before.
Highly recommend! Price is fair and the lesson could not be better!

Andre was an excellent teacher, he spoke English very well and took time to teach the fundamentals and build the muscle memory that is involved with the sport. It was my first time trying kite surfing and Andre made me feel safe and helped me develop skills quickly, within a few hours. Highly recommend learning this from Andre

Andrew is passionate about kitesurfing, very skilled at teaching kitesurfing, knows all the best spots, but he understands that it is a business that also requires customer relationship skills. I highly recommend Kite Soul if you are in the Rio area and want to learn or improve your kitesurfing.

I now really feel that I have cracked it and it is practice from here on with his voice in my ear explaining how to do things better. KiteSoul is the place to go to learn to kite the Brazilian way with fun and sun. 5 star.
