★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No dia 23/01, num domingo, procurei o dr. Laércio por telefone emergencial solicitando ajuda, pois a minha cachorrinha que ele cuidava desde os 3 meses, hj com 4 anos, estava vomitando há 5 dias. Estava desconfiada que poderia ser intoxicação uma vez que o condomínio havia passado um produto (DDVP) e, infelizmente, não comunicaram os moradores como sempre o fazem, devido a vários afastamentos por covid. Mediquei-a conforme instrução do dr. com os medicamentos que tinha em casa, e aguardei até segunda quando a levei à clinica para ficar das 09hs às 16hs para: fazer exames de sangue e ultrassom, e fluidoterapia com medicações. Ainda no domingo ela urinava na cor laranja, apesar do vômito ter cessado, o que nos assustou. Segundo o msm, o resultado do ultrassom não tinha alterações que justificassem o quadro dela e era pra aguardar até quarta quando o resultado do de sangue sairia. Passamos o feriado com ela no mesmo estado e medicando-a conforme prescrição médica com medicamentos gástricos. Na quarta fomos informados por ele que o exame de sangue tinha tido algumas alterações e que era pra procurarmos uma especialista em endocrinologia veterinária. Sem entender e questionando, já que ela era uma cachorra saudável, não entendi o encaminhamento e ainda frisei que ela urinava laranja mesmo usando os medicamentos pedidos. A orientação era deixá-la no soro 1x ao dia, por quantos dias fosse necessário lá na clínica. Como o quadro dela só piorava e não tivemos o diagnóstico correto, mesmo informando o dr. do produto que o condomínio usou na dedetização, procuramos outra clínica no dia 29/01 que, ao abrir o exame de sangue, detectou imediatamente a intoxicação no sangue e quadro hepático agudo, pois já estava amarela em suas orelhas, barriga e olhos. Imediatamente a clínica aplicou o antitóxico com soro, suspendeu todos os medicamentos que a LAMED havia prescrito, e começamos a cuidar da função hepática e intoxicação dali em diante. Como estava muito debilitada, o quadro foi piorando a ponto de ter que ser internada e fazer transfusão de sangue. Hoje se recuperando do quadro agudo que a intoxicação levou de anemia hemolítica, lutamos para estabilizar sua saúde a ponto de voltar a ser saudável como antes. A função hepática voltou ao normal em 2 dias após medicamentos apropriados. Nós quase perdemos a nossa cachorrinha devido a falta de diagnóstico que tivemos da LAMED no começo da intoxicação que, não teria evoluído para um estado tão grave se tivesse sido diagnosticada desde o início.
On 01/23, on a Sunday, I looked for Dr. Laércio by emergency phone asking for help, because my puppy he took care of since she was 3 months old, now 4 years old, had been vomiting for 5 days. I was suspicious that it could be intoxication since the condominium had passed a product (DDVP) and, unfortunately, they did not communicate the residents as they always do, due to several departures due to covid. I medicated her as instructed by Dr. with the medicines I had at home, and I waited until Monday when I took her to the clinic to stay from 9 am to 4 pm to: do blood tests and ultrasound, and fluid therapy with medications. Even on Sunday she was urinating orange, although the vomiting had stopped, which scared us. According to MSM, the ultrasound result had no changes that would justify her condition and it was supposed to wait until Wednesday when the blood result would come out. We spent the holiday with her in the same state and medicating her as prescribed by the doctor with gastric medications. On Wednesday we were informed by him that the blood test had been altered and that we should look for a specialist in veterinary endocrinology. Without understanding and questioning, since she was a healthy dog, I didn't understand the referral and I still stressed that she urinated orange even though she was using the medication ordered. The orientation was to leave her in the serum 1x a day, for as many days as necessary at the clinic. As her condition only got worse and we did not have the correct diagnosis, even though we informed Dr. of the product that the condominium used in the extermination, we looked for another clinic on 01/29 which, upon opening the blood test, immediately detected intoxication in the blood and acute liver condition, as it was already yellow in his ears, belly and eyes. Immediately the clinic applied the anti-toxic with serum, suspended all the drugs that LAMED had prescribed, and we started to take care of liver function and intoxication from then on. As she was very weak, her condition worsened to the point that she had to be hospitalized and undergo a blood transfusion. Today, recovering from the acute condition caused by the intoxication caused by hemolytic anemia, we are fighting to stabilize his health to the point of returning to being healthy as before. Liver function returned to normal within 2 days after appropriate medications. We almost lost our puppy due to the lack of diagnosis we had from LAMED at the beginning of the intoxication, which would not have progressed to such a serious condition if it had been diagnosed from the beginning.
