★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location. Unfortunately the hotel is in urgent need of a full overhaul. You can notice that this hotel was probably very good ten, twenty years ago; now everything aged bad. Breakfast felt the same: good assortment but the food was old and dangerously close to stale. Not going back there.

But the pool was out of commission and they seem not to be used to people like me staying there so I got a little drama from the security. It's a shame Brazil still has this unspoken system which marginalised the darker people in their communities.
