★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time in a few years of surf lessons that a teacher really explained very well and clear the technique of surfing!
I have had lessons in various countries (including the Netherlands and Indonesia) but never has explained someone the technique as Jane and her husband Zuqueto. Jane also explained more that there are differences between men and women. They also videotape you so you can see yourself and what you could improve.
To be a good surfer is one thing, but to be a good teacher is another. Both Jane and her husband really took the time and were very patient. They also took extra time for a student who had anxiety.
The lessons are really good value for money! You spend 2 hours in the water in small groups so there is a lot of personal attention. Travel time, practise on the beach is all extra time. Next to that; Jane is the best wave finder and as the ocean might be flat, she knows the waves will be coming and one lesson we surfed in an otherwise empty sea.
I think they are one of the best teachers ever and I would highly recommend them!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As an intermediate surfer I was not sure at first if I want to join a Surf School in Itacare, but surfing with Meninas do Mar was a great decision.
Jane, Zuqueto and the team helped me a lot to improve my surfing. We were taken to the right spot, accompanied in the water and filmed everyday. In the afternoon we analysed the videos. The individual exercises added a lot of value to the classes.
Apart from that, the atmosphere was amazing. The whole team is lovely and works with a lot of passion.
When going back to Itacare I will definitely surf with Meninas again :)
