Here you can taste the rich and simplist local culinary, such as Croquetes - a fried meat roll -, Coxinha - a fried dough filled with chiken breast -, Corn Dogs, Pizza Enrolada - a breadstick like dish - and the most traditional one: Pastel -
wich is an adaptation of the spring rolls, created by the chinese immigrants -, paired with a 700ml cup of Caldo de Cana, wich is a drink descendant of the sugar cane's squeezing process.
On weekends you can find stands selling very cheap and fake clothes, labed with the most famous brands, probably imported from Paraguay by muamba buyers. The presence of drunk homeless ones is much higher on the weekends, it's when they spend the money aquired on the week all in Cachaça (a brazzilian hard drink). Speaking of cachaça on the right side, on the outside, of Mercadão's warehouse there's a traditional bar with no name on it. People assign generic names that refers to bars in general, like birosca, boteco, butico and others, to the place. It is one of the best places to meet the drunk locals, since the Toca da Raposa bar terminated business operations due to a mandate given by the National Sanitary Surveillance Agency.
