This mount has a sensational view. The sunset is magical from above. When I went there, the guide told us the story of the mount's name. Inácio was a slave who fell in love with his master's daughter. The master discovered their romance and ordered the slave to be killed, but he fled to the mount. When Inácio found himself surrounded by the master's men, he threw himself off the top of the mount. But in fact, he landed on a ledge just below the point from which he threw himself. He descended from the hill by a shortcut and fled with the master's daughter and other slaves who went with them. That's why the hill was named after him.

Some tips: It’s R$12pp to go up, take cash! There is a short, steep climb of maybe 20min and you can do this in flip flops. If you walk from the main road however, it will take much longer (we drove up to the parking lot). The gate at the entrance says it closes at 5pm, but this cannot have been true since people were only arriving then to view the sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning. Was one of the most impressive places I've ever been. Wear walking shoes as the climb up is rocky, and bring a jacket or jumper as it gets windy at the top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy 25 minute hike that leads to a quality viewpoint of the canyons. Suitable for nearly everyone. Great for a sunset. We got the best pictures here and preferred Moreno do Pai much more than the waterfall trails. Trail was well marked and you absolutely don’t need a guide. Worth a visit for sure. Likely spend an hour to an hour and a half here in total.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have to pay 12 R$ to enter. CASH ONLY. The guy in the booth is really rude and unhelpful.
You can go up the hill with your car and then park next to the hill.
The road to take is around 1 km after the pousada and the turn is next to the little, wooden store with local products. Hike takes around 15 minutes and the views are breathtaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful view from the top! You drive most of the way up there mountain until the parking lot, then it's a 10 minute hike to the top. Be careful of the wood handrails, they're full of splinters!
