★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting museum with a fairly extensive collection. I wish the art on show engaged more with current Brazilian art and society - despite the name, the focus was on XX century art, with relatively little from the past 2/3 decades or addressing contemporary social issues through art. Would be great to see some work by a new, younger generation of artists coming up in Brazil, which should be particularly easy to achieve considering that the museum is affiliated with the university. Great view on the top floor with a nice rooftop restaurant / bar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an absolute MUST! Whether you are an art lover or not, visiting the MAC is a great FREE way to get a panoramic view of São Paulo. The art is wonderful, the entrance is FREE and the rooftop restaurant (though I did not get to go) is really nice and offers a great view. NOTE: The restaurant closes at 5 PM and reopens at 7 PM but I was able to sit in the downstairs cafe and drink some coffee and work on my laptop. I really enjoyed the tranquil experience. They offer free lockers in the lobby for you to keep your things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free entrance!! Amazing rooftop Skyline view and the café was done well too. Oh don't forget they have multiple floors of amazing art! Loved how close it was to a huge park, great to combine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went on a weekend and it was basically empty. The museum has some very interesting pieces from the 20th and 21st century. The best part of the museum is the stunning view of São Paulo from the rooftop.
The museum’s entrance is free.
