★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ótimo local para se visitar, conhecer a história da cidade, da região, um pouco do sertão e um pouco da Guerra de Canudos. Possui um acervo interessante de fotos e desenhos sobre a Guerra de Canudos, além de objetos utilizados no conflito. O ambiente é agradável, ocupando um casarão histórico e localizado a poucos metros da principal praça da cidade e da rua que dá acesso ao caminho da Santa Cruz.
Great place to visit, to know the history of the city, the region, a little bit of the hinterland and a little bit of the Canudos War. It has an interesting collection of photos and drawings about the Canudos War, as well as objects used in the conflict. The atmosphere is pleasant, occupying a historic mansion and located a few meters from the main square of the city and the street that gives access to the path of Santa Cruz.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Infelizmente o museu está com sinais de abandono, sem legendas nos objetos expostos, sem luz em algumas salas, fotos da Guerra de Canudos apagadas, mal aproveitamento da instalações do casarão antigo, sem sinalização interna para quem é de fora da cidade.
Embora tenha todos esses pontos para melhorar, vale a visita, pois é o único aparelho da prefeitura que reúne itens históricos do sertão. Bom seria se houvesse disposição das autoridades competentes em valorizar o museu.
Unfortunately the museum has signs of abandonment, no subtitles on the exhibited objects, no light in some rooms, photos of the Canudos War erased, poor use of the old mansion's facilities, no internal signage for outsiders.
Although it has all these points to improve, it is worth the visit, as it is the only device of the city that gathers historical items of the backlands. It would be nice if the competent authorities were willing to value the museum.
