★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most traditional restaurant in São Paulo. You can go there every day and there will be a lot of options, but none is more wonderful than the Saturday feijoada. The desert is also very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My father and mother went to this restaurant on a date back in 1957. It made a big impression on them. My father was wondering if this restaurant was still in existence. So when he and I were in Sao Paulo, I looked it up and amazingly it is still there after all these years! It tells you something about how great a restaurant this is. I took him there for lunch and he said it was exactly as he had remembered it: a fantastic and classy Italian restaurant. When we told the manager about my father and mother having gone there on a date so many years ago, he treated my dad like royalty and offered incredible hospitality and took photos of us of with my dad reminiscing about his romantic dinners with my mom. It was an incredible and unforgettable experience!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice restaurant, great service and the food is just too good. I love the pictures on the walls and the antique style; it's so much better than these insipid, hyper modern restaurants that are everywhere in Sao Paulo at the moment. Overall, a very pleasant place to enjoy a traditional dinner with friends and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Italian style restaurant in the charming, but rundown, Largo do Arouche. The decor is pleasant on the eye and the tables have white tablecloths.
Portions are Brazilian sized and there is a lot of cheese, which I enjoy. Perhaps not an entirely authentic Italian restaurant, but the food is tasty. Service very attentive and food served quickly. Prices are a bit on the high side, lasagna and ravioli both around R$67. Although prices vary depending on which sauce you pick. The dry red house wine was surprisingly tasty and a large carafe at only R$35 I'd excellent value. Dinner for two including a bread bowl for starters, main dishes and wine and water came to around R$235 including service.
Recommended, especially on a chilly São Paulo night when a hearty pasta dish and red wine is what you need to warm up.
