Ai Wei Wei exposition. You need patience to read everything and is very important to do it as it is the only way you can understand all the pieces of art exposed there.

" OCA" Is the indigenous name for HOUSE in Tupi Guarany Indigenous dialect of Brazilian Indigenous Tribes. Architect Oscar Niemeyer reproduced perfectly a concrete made format of indigenous people. Of course, inside it is an aerial spatiality mesh of floors ,bridges , arches over arches with under ground giant units of geometrified capsules design which indigenous peoples wouldn't believe or want to live in any imaginary future But the building is a majestic sumptuous HOMAGE and stronghold invitation to promote integration of indigenous ARTS & CULTURES into our Metropolis São Paulo City. Unlosable !! Specially if with INDIGENOUS HAND CRAFTING ARTS EXHIBITION in new projects. I hope !!

Happened to stumble upon this after walking through the park,. It wasn't clear what it was but we paid to go in. The choice of artefacts didn't seem to relate to the theme of the Japanese in Brazil. I would say the only piece worth seeing was on the top floor.

I visited during August 2018, the enormous venue was almost empty. The only exhibition was of a fresco that had been covered by a wall for a long time and recently re discovered in 2014. The building itself is interesting architecturally, it fells like you are on the inside of a UFO, it looks the part from the outside too. From the inside looking through the round windows the framing of the outside Ibirapuera park look wonderfull. Its worth stepping in for a quick walkthrough.
